Weddings and Blessings

A wedding in the Church of England is an opportunity to make a lifelong commitment to your partner in the presence of your friends and family and before God. You will also have the support and guidance of the priest conducting the service as you prepare for your big day. Choosing to get married in church is so much more than picking a pretty backdrop for a legal ceremony!

Revd Kate is delighted to be able to offer wedding blessings for same-sex couples in civil partnerships, and each church in the Benefice through its PCC has affirmed its support for this.

If you are interested in getting married, or having a wedding blessing, in one of the churches in the Benefice, please contact Revd Kate. If you do not live in the Benefice, or regularly worship in one of our six churches, it may not be possible for you to do so – there are eligibility criteria that we are obliged to observe.
