Deanery Summer Camp 2016

Calling all boys and girls in school years 6 to 9 and aspiring youth leaders – years 10 to 12...

Early in 2015, I told you about the 2015 Deanery Summer Camp. I’m pleased to confirm that we will be holding a camp again this year (we are now calling it Pulse Camp), from late afternoon of 8th July 2016 to Sunday afternoon,10th July 2016. As before, it will be held at the Girl Guide Centre, close to the pretty village of Berwick St. James - between the A36 Wilton Road and the A303 at Winterbourne Stoke (http://www.girlguiding-wiltshiresouth.org.uk/index.php/berwick). There will be a range of activities, including: Lasertag (http://www.extremelasertag.co.uk/) on one of the days; camp fires; music; story telling; group discussions; a variety of games; a midnight hike. I will let you know later more about the weekend, together with booking arrangements.

The first of these, on Saturday 16th January and based in the garden of St. Mary and St. Nicholas Church in Wilton, was attended by thirty-four children and several helpers; all the children said they had a great time.

There’ll be another Taster Day on Friday 8th April 2016, also at the same location; click here to read full details of this event. pdf logo

You can book a place either through me, or using the contact details on the poster at the link above.

PS. We now have a web-site – pulse.camp - do have a look; you’ll find there a video taken during last year’s camp. I’m looking forward to helping at the next taster day and the summer camp; I’m sure you won’t be disappointed if you come. Gerry.
