East Knoyle Summer Barbecue - 2nd September 2017

Due to family reasons, Roger Hague has decided that with regret he is no longer able to organise the East Knoyle Fete which was planned for the Saturday 2nd September 2017 at Knoyle Place.

The Church Wardens have attempted to recruit another organiser but with no success and they have therefore decided on a change of emphasis and instead organise a village

Summer BBQ

This will take place at Moors Farm by kind permission of John & June Reading on the same date starting at 12 noon and ending at 4.30 pm.

It is hoped that there will be a comprehensive BBQ, bar (beer, wine & soft drinks), children’s sporting activities and face painting, dog show, most of the normal fete type stalls, the East Knoyle Village Choir, and various other fun activities. Tisbus have - as with the Barn Dance last year - agreed to provide a bus for those without transport. We are in the very early planning stage but we believe that it will be necessary to make a charge for tickets which will be on sale at Wren’s Shop; the cost of tickets will be kept as low as possible and, depending on the cost, may include entry, free BBQ, and one free drink. Ticket prices will be announced in the East Knoyle Newsletter next month.

This will be happy day out with plenty to do and a rural feel. It is sincerely hoped that the majority of the East Knoyle population will wish to attend this fun event.

Friends firom our neighbouring parishes will be most welcome.
