St Andrew’s Church Development Appeal - December 2016 Update

Fundraising Activity Update

Village Produce Stall

The Produce Stall at Crossways has now closed for this year. Since March 2016, the Stall has raised nearly £1000 for the Friends’ Appeal. What a marvellous result!

The Committee would like to thank Christine York for masterminding and running the stall and also the many villagers who gave and bought throughout the year. The Produce Stall will be back in March next year so please start planting and growing for the Stall.

Christmas Cards and Presents

The Friends’ Stall is open every Sunday for 30 minutes after church services up to and including Sunday 11th December. Ten Christmas card designs including the two winners of the 2016 Children's Christmas Card Competition are on sale as well as Christmas presents and stocking fillers and Zillah Gillespie’s delicious marmalade and preserves.

Church Development Project And Appeal

The total raised has risen to £277,000 as a result of a further grant from a charitable trust, donations from villagers and from other sources.

At the time of writing, the Diocesan Advisory Committee was about to meet to consider our proposals.
