Two supporters of the Appeal who are moving to new homes gave china, glass, cutlery, silver, brass, books, pictures, linens, cushions, furniture and all sorts of other household items to the Appeal. The Friends Committee decided to hold a Clearance Sale, which took place in the New Remembrance Hall at Charlton on Saturday 6th May 2017. At 2.00 pm there was a queue of over seventy waiting to come in. Over the next forty-five minutes, we did a roaring trade and then.......that was it!

The sale raised over £600. Thank you to our two generous donors and to the thirty-five villagers who helped on the day.

Update On Appeal Funds Raised To The End Of May 2017

By 1st January 2017, we had raised just over £280,000. The first months of 2017 have seen the Appeal funds grow significantly; with two large donations from villagers, a grant from a charitable trust and a further grant from St Andrew’s PCC. Together these add a further £51,000 to the Appeal Fund.

So, we have now raised a total of just over £331,000.

St Andrew’s PCC would like to thank the many villagers and everyone else who have supported the Appeal in so many ways.
